MAI Kōrero is live now!

MAI Kōrero is a companion to the MAI Review journal and its purpose is to provide an informal, format-free opportunity to raise issues, share ideas, discuss, comment and interact online – on matters regarding Māori and Indigenous development. We see it as a “Scholarly Forum” for all members of our Māori and Indigenous networks to make contributions to the research capability environment.
The original  MAI Forum on MAI Review had become totally inundated by spam. We have now resurrected this forum in a new format as MAI Kōrero, placed it on a new site and included a system that should prevent non-human spam and moderate content.
So we go live with papers and kōrero from: Peter Russell, on quantifying fear; Jason Galu on the meaning of employee wellness; and Pareputiputi Nuku on the battle for and loss of ancestral Māori land. These papers are informative, interesting and should stimulate some kōrero.
We expect of course that the site will become self-organising in terms of the themes of discussion and the grouping of topic areas; rather organic-like!

How to take part?

Contributions may be submitted at any time. Either by commenting directly on a topic on the MAI Kōrero site (by selecting ‘add new comment’ and completing the simple reply form) or by completing the MAI Kōrero new submission form online. Each contribution will be moderated to see if its content is suitable and in accordance with our communication and publications standards. Our aim is to do that within two working days.
E-mail any queries to
mai@maramatanga.ac.nz

With best wishes,
Les Williams
