Focus and Scope
The Journal is totally electronic and feature articles, reports, and a workshop corner, along with commentaries and the opportunity for online commentaries. A key objective is to focus on knowledge that facilitates and fosters capacity and capability building for Maori and Indigenous people. This focus is seen as encompassing pre-doctoral and doctoral levels and beyond to include career development, leadership and mentoring. A parallel objective is to provide material that supports capability building and assists researchers and students whatever the context of their work. Such contexts will include local, Iwi, institutional, national and international perspectives. A particular objective is to disseminate information and ideas relating to capability building as widely as possible and in a way that encourages discussion and sharing through the MAI Korero section of the Journal. There are three main issues per year (December, April, August). These issues will be supplemented by special issues from time to time.
